I am patriotic

Maybe more to the American side. But hey, add in a splash of yellow on my dress and you have a Malaysian flag!

Let's talk about Merdeka eve, which was yesterday. Or more like few hours ago since now is only 2AM, 31st August. I can't sleep yet so there, blogging in advance.

Mom and dad dragged me up early in the morning because they needed my GPS, so we went for breakfast as well. Had nasi lemak, then I slept till when it was time to go out in the evening. Went to have dinner with baby's family at Pyramid, I still feel stressed whenever that happens hahaa.

After that, to the Curve!

Hello!

Baby's new shirt. I bought it for him when I took my brother out for movies on Saturday.

Met up with Ernie and the bunch for shisha. Lol, what did I tell you? Prediction was right.

The one who always took care of the bong, and I think he'll get married to the bong one day.

Ernie!

Steven

and Kaori.

Everyone was dressed in black and white, well, besides me. Why nobody want to teman me patriotic one T___T

We're in Genting! ..not

Before and after! No difference.

He's waaaaay skinnier than me, I know right, sigh.

We headed back right before 12, avoid traffic! Saw a massive crowd outside Pyramid, I almost scoffed. I mean, what's the point right? Not to say this year has fireworks also, so why the hassle? You'll probably be all sweaty and your ass might get a good grab from a bunch of invisible hands.

Heehee, I outsmarted the world. Kidding.

Honestly, I was really tired sometime past 12 and all I wanted to do was just spend some quiet time with baby. And that was exactly what we did, which wrapped the day up.

Not a happening Merdeka this time, but a meaningful one to me.

Browser Dilemma

Right now I feel like a betrayer.

I recently downloaded Google Chrome - the new browser from Google, competing with Firefox, IE, etc.

NO WAY I'm giving up on Mozilla Firefox now, can I? Oh gosh, you know what they say about the different type of people who use different type of browsers. You can almost know a person's personality just by looking at their preferred browser.

Photobucket

I think I fall under the group Obssessed User of Firefox.

I always am a Firefox supporter(I even installed Firefox add-ons, themes, personas, etc), until I saw Google Chrome. What's worse is I searched up Google Chrome on Firefox and downloaded it. It's like cheating on your boyfriend with his brother. Sigh. Such a dilemma.

Pictures comparing the two of them!

Homepage - Mozilla Firefox 3.4 Beta Version
(The neat layout that I'm so used to and comfortable with!)

Homepage - Google Chrome
(Looks complicated but really, really convenient)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Normal browsing - Mozilla Firefox 3.4 Beta Version

Normal browsing - Google Chrome
(As you can see, Google Chrome offers a much larger space and smooth browsing)

Reason why I'm attracted to Google Chrome is because it's smart, clean, sleek and fast. Believe it or not. And plus, it's from Google! I absolutely despise other search engines besides Google, for no good reason, heh.

A change is really difficult for me, getting used to it takes time. Especially a drastic change like this. I mean, come on I face these stuffs for at least 4 hours a day, more than I face my own boyfriend sometimes!

Solution: I think I'll just use them both.

Oh by the way, I know how to spell IE! Four letters! S-L-O-W.

That's why I never touch that stuff ever since I met Firefox.

*not an advertorial, just really random thoughts. Geeky, no?

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before I forget, Happy Merdeka everyone! This year's Merdeka must be the worst I suppose, with all the racism issues and H1n1.

Nevertheless I'm still heading out for the annual countdown, no idea where, no idea whom. Or like what Ernest suggested we do, shisha sleep sleep shisha shisha sleep shisha shisha three two one merdeka!?

Still, anticipating. Will upate on whatever that'll happen tonight.

S.O.X. All Stars Competition Day

On a Saturday in the past few weeks itself, right after my exams I headed down to Stadium Badminton Cheras. Guess what event was held on that day? Non other than S.O.X. All Stars Cheer and March competition of course! Though I may not attended the whole event due to my exams, I still had to experience how it was like and if I’m lucky I might even catch a few performances.

The boyfriend accompanied me there since I didn’t know the way to go there. Not like he knows too, but at least I can navigate on my GPS for him (:

After a rather long trip, we saw the stadium. The stadium was so crowded and filled with event banners everywhere. Overall the atmosphere was fresh and upbeat. That got me going.

Outside the stadium was a massive bazaar, selling food, drinks and other merchandise. There were also game stands as promised!

Free sim packs??

Face painting.

Video games! Fancy a round of Guitar Hero?

Celebrity Dunk. Pity the ones being dunked, no?

I would have stayed for a few rounds of game outside if I wasn’t all so eager to head in to the stadium. But heading in there wasn’t such a bad move either. The inside is even better than the outside.

They had temperature scans on everyone that’s heading indoors due to the disease outbreak lately.

The crowd was big inside, considering it was the break and performance time.

Performance by One Nation MC. They got the crowd pumped up. Everyone was making their way to the front of the stage to bust a few moves.

Gerhana Skacinta. Anyone who’s unaware of who they are? I doubt so. They too had a great performance, making the whole stadium concert-like.

We watched everything from the upper seats since he seats downstairs were all occupied.

Later they had a few games for the contestants. One of the captivating one was this “dance showdown” thing held for the cheerleaders. They got representatives from a few cheer teams to battle it off.

The girls danced it off.

A superb toe touch from one of the male cheerleader.

And is tackled by a handstand from another contestant.

This battle went on with upbeat music and cheering from the crowd until they selected a winner. That was one awesome one.

As I was starting to wonder where had all the march bands went, I saw they marching into the stadium all disciplined and organized. Oh the difference between cheer teams and marching bands.

The bands getting into lines.

The ones in black are from SMK Tinggi Klang, Selangor. The ones in orange, you can catch a glimpse of them on the right to the black band, are from SMK (P) Sultan Ibrahim all the way from Johore.

The cheerleaders are all so spread out that I couldn’t get a picture of one whole team. Except for this though, team Dazzle from SMK (P) Jln Pudu, KL.

Shortly after the bands got into formation, they had their prize giving ceremony. Here’s the moment everyone’s been waiting for.

March band from SMK La Salle Klang bagged the third place in march category. They’re possibly the youngest marching band present there.

RESULTS:

March category
1st - SMK (P) Sultan Ibrahim
2nd - SMK Tinggi Klang
3rd - SMK La Salle Klang
Best dressed - SMK (P) Sultan Ibrahim
Best drum major - SMK Tinggi Klang

Cheer category
1st – Pirates from SMK Cochrane
2nd - Vibrant from SMK Puteri Titiwangsa
3rd – Z’erox from SMK Seksyen 1
Best dressed - Dazzle from SMK (P) Jln Pudu
Best cheer captain - Vibrant from SMK Puteri Titiwangsa

The champions did their routines once again, I’m sure the videos will be up soon. For those who didn’t manage to attend, don’t miss the awesome videos!

The event came to an end after a long long day. Eventhough this event was a first-time by S.O.X., I would say that it was a major success! If they ever organize this again, make sure to get involved!

I want my goo-gaa

For all I know this post is just filled with pictures of myself, myself, maybe one other person and something else but it'll eventually leads back to myself. Just a warning, in case you want to leave now :)

I KNOW RIGHT! I CAN'T HELP BEING SO NARCISSISTIC D:

So excuse me while I continue..

Watched this with baby at Midvalley today. Good for laughs and that "aww" factor. Some scenes can seriously make you laugh until, hmm, maybe drop from the cinema seats? You may or may not believe this exaggerator.

Lunch

with my most favorite person on earth.

It wasn't any ordinary lunch, it was a..

Power Lunch @ Starbucks! Lol sorry the term "power lunch" just cracks me up. Want to be powerful?? Try Power Lunch!

*all these lameness and idiocy are caused by the midnight factor. Gosh if only you can see my eyebags right now. I think I can fit 2 cows in there.

This picture gives me the scary movie feeling. Must be the hair.

Baby loved the way I dressed today. I'm starting to suspect that he has a highwaisted shorts fetish. Either that or he just like me to wear something other than street casual.

Today I feel rather Victorian.

Right now I can't sleep yet despite it being 2AM, probably because of the new comics, magazines and a novel I recently bought. MUST. FINISH. READING.

And I'm having a major problem here! A pimple on the cheek eventhough it's not big enough to show on pictures yet, but ARGHH. I can stand pimples anywhere else except on the cheeks. Seriously, feel like taking a knife to slice off that miserable pimple. Joking. Or not.

I think this is my skin's way of telling me, "We need more rest and healthy food, please."

Or not.

Hahahaa don't mind me. Must be the full moon.

Or not.

*slaps self

Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot,
who calls you back when you hang up on him,
who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat,
or will stay awake just to watch you sleep...
wait for the boy who kisses your forehead,
who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats,
who holds your hand in front of his friends,
who thinks you' re just as pretty without makeup on.
One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have you... The one who turns to his friends and says, thats her...

Checking in

HELLO!

I'm currently at my hometown. Will be back the day after tomorrow I think. That's not too bad right. Here to help out my grandma a little and to unwind for a bit. I bought novels to read and I hope tv has some good stuff.

OH. My tama and her husband left :( They left to I don't know where and left me with a baby. And good gracious, the new baby's so demanding!

I'll be back soon! Hopefully without the extra weight and tan.

Happiness above all

450th post and I've decided to make a little insight on life.

I believe everyone choose their own paths, mould their own lives. Remember the poem "The Road Not Taken" or something like that I can't remember the title -.- Yeah, that poem from our Form 5 Literature thingie. Doesn't it make you wonder what would your life be like if you've chosen a different path from the start?

Yeah, it keeps you wondering.

Up till now, I'm still thinking and comparing my past and present. Have I made the right decision? Is this really what I should be doing? For me, I don't believe in right or wrong. Nobody can really judge and decide its rightfulness.

I've chosen my path. I'm trying to live it without regrets. I don't regret over anything from the past at all, everything that happened, it made me who I am today.

People come and go. It doesn't matter how long one stays, the most important thing is how deep of a footprint can they leave in your life.

Photobucket

Many people forget that out there, it's a world so big you can't possibly compete with. Everything you do, is it worth it?

Yes. If you're doing things you're doing now because you want to, yes. When you do something and you feel happy and comfortable doing it, that's being true to yourself. If you're doing it for some other purposes, oh shut up.

So what are you doing with your life?

Me? I'm happy where I am now so say whatever you want :) I stick to one saying. Life is short, make the ride worthwhile.
